Wednesday's Word of Encouragement ‐ Only Believe

To see the reality of God working our lives, we must put that reality to the test.  Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying we test God; I’m saying we have to prove His word.

When the disciples had been with Jesus for some time, when they had witnessed him healing the sick, preaching the word powerfully, raising the dead, defying the ruling authorities, miraculously feeding thousands of people from seemingly nothing – when they saw Him shifting and shaping, healing, and restoring, bringing life wherever He went,  they finally worked up the courage to ask Him, what must we do to work the works of the Kingdom? What must we do to see this wonderful working power in our lives? His reply?

Only Believe!

If God says that All things are possible to those who believe, how will we see impossibility come to pass unless we dare to believe?  Where do you need the reality of restoration evidenced in your life today?  Is it your health? Your finances? Relationships? Is it your retirement? Your loved one? Your child? Is it your future? Your past? Your present?

Put the Word to work in your life today and see if He will not prove Himself faithful.  When we envision the reality of the impossibility and agree with it, we are touching the heart of prayer and opening the floodgate of heaven. For nothing is impossible to those who believe!
